Forgotten with the upbringing of modern medicine it is being slowly rediscovered. Despite all the controversies concerning the properties of the clay, it has been used far longer by man than modern drugs, it never required any experimentation on animals, and it is 100% natural.
According to Hippocrates, Theophrastes, Dioscorides and Galen, the Greeks made use of clays. According to Plines, the Romans used it. Avicennes favors it in his famous writings. [...]

Breakthroughs in dental research point to being able to regrow teeth
Recently announced results of research in Canada and in the US are bringing exciting encouragement to patients with a variety of dental and periodontal problems.
Researchers at the University of Alberta in Edmonton (Canada) announced they’ve created a technology that will allow patients to regrow teeth.
Using a miniaturized system-on-a-chip based on low (LPUS) technologythat delivers a non-invasive way to stimulate jaw growth and dental tissue healing, the tiny device will be able to fit comfortable inside a patient’s mouth, mounted easily on an orthodontic or “braces” bracket or even a plastic removable crown. This innovative technology would effectively eliminate the need for artificial bridge implants.
Researchers hope to have a marketable product within the next two years.

Target has been offering quality, discount products and providing customers a positive shopping experience since the early 1960’s, Now it’s expanded their green quotient.
On Tuesday, April 6th, Target introduced in-store recycling centers in all their 1,740 stores. These recycling stations are located just inside, near the front of each store.

Auric Blends Natural Perfumes
Since the late 19th century, perfumes have enticed our senses. Yet even the most expensive perfumes are loaded with petrochemicals, many toxic to humans. A 1991 EPA study found many perfumes include potentially hazardous chemicals like acetone (used as a cleaning solvent), benzyl acetate (a solvent used in plastics), ethanol (grain alcohol), ethyl acetate (a solvent) and methylene chloride (a solvent).
The FDA says fragrances are responsible for 30 percent of all allergic reactions. Yet this hasn’t stopped the growth of this multi-billion dollar industry.
There’s a small but growing trend within the perfume industry – quality perfumes made with natural ingredients. Auric Blends, a Sonoma County company, has created four unique, [...]

Green Gadgets for your home
This is a guest post by Danielle Brycz from Verde Lifestyles, an online eco-friendly home décor store.
When I think of green technology for the home, my mind jumps to energy saving devices and appliances. But there’s so much more!
Most of the products we use have eco-friendly alternatives. Take your daily routine. You wake up, hit your alarm clock, turn on your bedside lamp. Then you shower with a low-flow showerhead, blow-dry your hair, eat breakfast, and are out the door with your backpack or briefcase.
Besides conserving water and turning off your lights when not using them, did you consider greener options the last time you made a purchase? It’s just [...]
“Organic” isn’t what you think
According to a recent investigative report, current national standards allow dozens of pesticides, chemicals and other synthetic materials in organic foods. Worse yet, only 16 staffers from the U.S. Department of Agriculture are assigned to its National Organic Program! A network of certifiers, whose inspectors are paid by farmers and typically visit organic operations once a year, on a prearranged basis. They’re the supposed bastion of what gets certified as organic.
Here are some sobering facts about what we consumers are really getting with much of our organic food:
The National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances is essentially a 16-page roster of exemptions, including food additives, processing aids, cleaners, animal medications [...]
